Activating System

  1. Remove the RCM fuses F2.5 (5A) and F2.7 (10A) from the CJB. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least one minute for backup power supply to deplete stored energy. Remove air bag simulator from clockspring connector. Reconnect air bag module connector. Install steering wheel access panel.
  2. Remove air bag simulator from passenger air bag vehicle harness connector. Reconnect air bag module connector. Restore glove box to original position.
    3. WARNING: Be sure that nobody is in the vehicle and that there is nothing blocking or set in front of any air bag module when the battery ground cable is connected.
  3. Disconnect side air bag simulators. Reconnect side air bag module connectors. Turn the ignition switch from off to on. Install RCM fuses F2.5 (5A) and F2.7 (10A) to the CJB and close the cover. Reconnect negative battery cable. Recheck system operation. Perform SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . Reprogram preset radio frequencies and set clock.
