Removal and Installation
WARNING:

CAUTION:
Brake fluid is harmful to painted and plastic surfaces. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately wash it with water.
- Position the battery junction box (BJB) aside.
- Release the clips.
- Position the BJB aside.
- Remove the 3 bolts and position the ABS module aside.
- To install, tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).
- Remove the 3 brake line nuts-to-HCU (M10) and position the brake lines aside.
- To install, tighten to 18 Nm (13 lb-ft).
- Remove the 3 brake line nuts-to-HCU (M12) and position the brake lines aside.
- To install, tighten to 18 Nm (13 lb-ft).
- Remove the 3 HCU bracket-to-HCU bolts and the HCU assembly.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).
- Remove the 3 HCU bracket-to-body bolts and the HCU bracket.
- To install, tighten to 18 Nm (13 lb-ft).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Bleed the brake system. For additional information, refer to BRAKE SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
NOTE:
The brake lines must be installed in the same location as removed.
