Transaxle Support Insulator - 3.7L: Installation

  1. Clean the transaxle support insulator bolts using a wire brush and apply new threadlock to the threads.
  2. Install the bottom transaxle support insulator bolts.
    • Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

  3. Install the top transaxle support insulator bolts.
    • Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

  4. Install the transaxle support insulator bracket, the transaxle support insulator bracket nuts and the transaxle support insulator bracket bolt.
    • Tighten the transaxle support insulator bracket bolt to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
    • Tighten the transaxle support insulator bracket nuts to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).

  5. Using the floor jack and Oil Pan Holding Fixture, raise the transaxle and install the transaxle support insulator through bolt.
    • Tighten to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).

  6. Remove the floor jack and the Oil Pan Holding Fixture.
  7. Install the battery tray. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, BATTERY MOUNTING & BATTERY CABLES article.
  8. Install the ACL assembly and outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM & INTAKE AIR FILTERING SYSTEM article.
  9. Position the roll restrictor in place and install the roll restrictor-to-subframe through bolt.
    • Tighten to 103 Nm (76 lb-ft).

  10. Install the exhaust Y-pipe assembly. For additional information, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM article.
