Rear Door Alignment

Inspection 

  1. Check rear door to body dimensions. Refer to: Body and Frame .

Adjustment 

NOTE: LH shown, RH similar.

All alignments 

  1. Remove the bolts and the striker assembly.

    Rear door in and out, up and down alignment 

  2. Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the door.

    Torque: 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)

  3. Adjust door to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame .

    Rear door fore, aft and tilt alignment 

  4. Loosen the bolt to permit movement of the door.

    Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

  5. Refer to: Seatbelt Retractor and Pretensioner .
  6. Loosen the nuts to permit movement of the door.

    Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

  9. Install the striker assembly.

    Torque: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)

  11. Install the removed components.
