Steering Wheel: Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE:
High series heated steering wheel shown below, all others similar.
NOTE:
Make sure the wheels are in the straight ahead position.
- Remove the driver airbag. Refer to: Driver Airbag .
- Disconnect the steering wheel electrical connector(s).

NOTE: Make sure the tick-mark on the end of the steering column shaft is on the top position.
Remove and discard the steering wheel retainer and remove the steering wheel.
Torque: 46 lb.ft (62.5 Nm)
- Tape the clockspring rotor to the outer housing to keep it from rotating.
