Steering Column: Removal
- Disconnect battery cable. Remove heater air intake hose. Remove pinch bolt securing steering column clamp to steering gear pinion shaft, then remove screws securing floor board cover plate.
- Note location, quantity, and thickness of spacing washers between upper column mount and body mount. Remove 3 nuts, bolts, and washers keeping column to upper flange and body bracket. Gather packing washers.
- Disconnect steering column wiring harness at connector below fascia. Remove steering column with steering wheel and switches.
