Duty Solenoid Valves

The duty solenoid valves consist of the vent and vacuum valves. Their purpose is to control vacuum to the EGR valve. The duty solenoid valves are controlled by signals from the control unit.

The vent valve is connected to the air cleaner and controls fresh air flow to the duty solenoid valve. The vacuum valve controls intake manifold vacuum flow.
