Carburetor - HITACHI 2-Bbl: Overhaul: Disassembly: RWD
- Remove accelerator pump connecting rod and lever, throttle return spring and disconnect choke rod. Spread clip and disconnect automatic choke heater and slow fuel cut solenoid valve leads.
- Separate air horn and automatic choke assembly from main body. Remove accelerator pump piston and boot, float and float pin and needle valve. Remove primary and secondary slow air bleeds.
- Drill out rivets and remove choke thermostat cover. Invert main body and remove accelerator pump return spring and inlet check ball. Remove discharge weight, slow fuel cut solenoid and gasket and accelerator switch.
- Remove the secondary diaphragm pin, attaching screws, diaphragm and gasket. Remove bolt located between throttle valves and separate throttle body from main body.
- Remove diaphragm cover, spring and diaphragm and spring and ball. Remove all air jets and bleeds, noting positioning and sizes for reassembly. Remove power valve, throttle hanger and throttle adjustment screw.
- Pull out mixture adjusting screw shell or cut the shell with a hacksaw to remove mixture adjusting screw.
