Piston Pin Replacement: Installation
- Ensure connecting rod oil hole is opposite "F" mark on piston. Apply engine oil to piston pin and to small end of connecting rod. Install piston pin between long Piston Pin Guide (49 8134 043) and Piston Pin Installer (49 8134 042).
- Press pin into piston until piston pin guide contacts Block (49 8134 041A). See Fig 1 . Force required should be 1102-3307 lbs. (500-1500 kg). If force required is not within range, replace piston pin or connecting rod. Make sure that connecting rod moves freely.
