Idle Switch
- Warm engine to normal operating temperature and run engine at idle speed. Connect tachometer to engine. Connect Multimeter or Megameter to idle switch terminal Lt. Brown wire terminal.
- Increase engine speed to greater than 2000 RPM. Decelerate gradually. While at idle reading should be 12 volts. With engine speed at 1000-1200 RPM, reading should be less than 1.5 volt.
- If reading is not as specified, turn idle switch adjustment screw to adjust. If proper readings cannot be obtained, replace switch.
