Actuator Test: 929

  1. Using an Ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminals "B-D" (motor) and "A-C" (solenoid) of actuator. SeeFig 1 . If no continuity exists, replace actuator.

  2. To check actuator cable operation, apply 12 volts to terminals "B and C" while grounding terminals "A and D", cable should pull in. Apply battery voltage to terminal "C" while grounding terminal "A", cable should stop. Apply battery voltage to terminals "C and D" while grounding "A and B", cable should extend.
  3. With no terminals energized or grounded, cable should release. If cable operation is not as specified, replace actuator.
