Ignition Timing

NOTE: Use of vehicle battery powered timing light is preferred.
  1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Turn off all accessories. Connect a jumper wire between Green test connector and ground. Connect timing light to high-tension lead of front leading side.
  2. Check that mark on pulley is aligned with indicator pin. Connect timing light to "L1" (high-tension) lead. Check leading and trailing timing. If necessary, turn crank angle sensor to adjust.
