Knock Control (Turbo Models)

  1. Connect Self-Diagnostic Checker (49 H018 9A1) and ground test connector lead. Turn ignition on.
  2. Tap lightly on right engine hanger with plastic hammer. Ensure monitor lamp on checker flashes. If not, connect a known good sensor and recheck.
  3. If test results remain the same, replace knock control unit.
