Shift Lock Testing: 929
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove gear selector console cover. Disconnect Park switch connector.
- Place gear selector in Park. Continuity should be present between both wires. Depress gear selector release button and ensure no continuity is present. If Park switch works as described, go to next step. If Park switch does not work as described, replace Park switch.
- Disconnect shift-lock actuator connector. Turn ignition on. Check voltage between White/Green and Black wire. With brake pedal released, ensure no voltage is present. Press brake pedal down. Ensure 12 volts is present. If voltage is not as described, repair or replace shift-lock actuator.
