Window Regulator: Removal
- Remove door trim panel and water shield. See DOOR TRIM PANEL & WATER SHIELD
. Remove inside door belt weather strip and glass stabilizer.
- Remove door window. See DOOR WINDOW
. Remove both nut and washer assemblies attaching equalizer bracket.
- Use a 1/8" drill bit to drill off four rivet heads attaching regulator base plate to door inner panel. Remove regulator and glass bracket assembly from vehicle.
- Working on a bench, carefully bend tab flat to remove arm slides from glass bracket "C" channel. See Fig 1
.
- Install new regulator arm plastic guides into glass bracket "C" channel and bend tab back to 90°. Use care not to break tab. If tab is cracked or broken, replace glass bracket assembly. Ensure rubber bumper is installed properly on new glass bracket, if replacement is made.
