Mixture Control Valve

Start engine. Block intake port of mixture control valve. Engine speed should not change. See Fig 1 . Increase engine speed and quickly decelerate. Verify air is drawn into intake port for 1-2 seconds after accelerator is released. If operation is not as specified, replace defective valve.
