BRAKELIGHT Switch Test
NOTE:
Perform this test when brake pedal actuation does not disengage cruise control system. On vehicles with M/T, ensure clutch switch operates properly before performing this test.
- Check for stoplight operation with maximum brake pedal pressure of 6 lbs. (2.7 kg). If stoplights operate correctly, go to step 2). If stoplights do not operate, repair stoplight circuit as necessary.
- Check for battery voltage at Orange wire of amplifier 6-pin connector (amplifier main power supply). Step on brake pedal, and ensure stoplights are lit. Check voltage of Light Green wire. If difference between measurements is greater than 1.5 volts, check circuit to find source of high resistance.
