INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
- Install the ignition coil (17), retaining plate (16) and retaining plate (15).
Specified torque: 4.7-5.1 N.m (41-46 in-lb).
- Install the igniter unit (13).
- Install the igniter coil connector (12). Push it down to connect the terminals securely.
- Tighten the ignition terminal screw (11) which joins the ignition coil connector with the igniter unit.
Specified torque: 0.6-1.0 N.m (14-26 in-lb).
- Tighten the condenser screw (14) which joins the condenser of ignition coil connector with the housing.
Specified torque: 1.6-2.9 N.m (5.3-9.5 in-lb).
- Install the spacer (10) and the vanes (8) (9) on the shaft. When installing the vanes, fit them to the shaft configuration.NOTE: Be careful not to deform the vanes.
- Install the rotor drive (7) on the shaft and hold it with an open end wrench or equivalent and tighten the armature center screw (6).
Specified torque: 4.7-5.1 N.m (41-46 in-lb).
- Install the igniter cover (5), then tighten the igniter cover screw (4).
Specified torque: 4.7-5.1 N.m (41-46 in-lb).
- Install the gasket (3) in the housing groove.
- Install the rotor (2). Insert it until a click is heard.NOTE: If a click is not heard, change the phase of the rotor.
