Idle Switch: 2.6L

  1. Disconnect idle switch electrical connector. See Figure . Check continuity between switch and ground. Continuity should be present with throttle valve fully closed. Continuity should not exist with throttle valve open.
  2. If continuity is not as specified, check wiring harness for open or short circuits. On 2.6L, replace idle switch if wiring harness is okay.
