Test Procedure

Connect tachometer to engine. Apply parking and service brakes firmly. Place selector lever in each gear. Press accelerator completely to floor and record tachometer reading in each gear. DO NOT exceed 5 second limit. Engine speed should be within specifications. See STALL SPEED SPECIFICATIONS  table. If engine speed is not within specifications, diagnose and repair. See STALL SPEED TEST DIAGNOSIS  .
