Cruise Control Servo
- Locate cruise control servo in right rear of engine compartment. Disconnect cruise control servo 10-pin connector. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between terminal No. 10 (Pink/Orange wire) and specified terminal of servo harness connector. See CRUISE CONTROL SERVO VOLTAGE TEST . See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not present, replace cruise control servo.
- Test drive vehicle. Using DVOM on AC scale, measure voltage between terminals No. 3 (Gray/Black wire) and No. 10 (Pink/Orange wire) of servo harness connector while driving vehicle. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . At about 30 MPH, voltage should be a minimum of about 1.4 volts AC. At about 45 MPH, voltage should be a minimum of about 1.6 volts AC. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, replace cruise control servo.
- Turn ignition off. Using DVOM, measure resistance between specified terminals of the servo harness connector. Refer to the CRUISE CONTROL SERVO RESISTANCE TEST .
- Refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS . If resistance is not as specified, replace cruise control servo.
