Cruise Control Servo

  1. Locate cruise control servo in right rear of engine compartment. Disconnect cruise control servo 10-pin connector. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between terminal No. 10 (Pink/Orange wire) and specified terminal of servo harness connector. See CRUISE CONTROL SERVO VOLTAGE TEST  . See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not present, replace cruise control servo.
  2. Test drive vehicle. Using DVOM on AC scale, measure voltage between terminals No. 3 (Gray/Black wire) and No. 10 (Pink/Orange wire) of servo harness connector while driving vehicle. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . At about 30 MPH, voltage should be a minimum of about 1.4 volts AC. At about 45 MPH, voltage should be a minimum of about 1.6 volts AC. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, replace cruise control servo.
  3. Turn ignition off. Using DVOM, measure resistance between specified terminals of the servo harness connector. Refer to the CRUISE CONTROL SERVO RESISTANCE TEST  .
  4. Refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If resistance is not as specified, replace cruise control servo.
