Test No. 5
- Disconnect cruise control servo 10-pin connector. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between terminals No. 1 (Orange/Light Blue wire) and No. 10 (Pink/Orange wire) of servo harness connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage is approximately battery voltage, go to step 3). If voltage is not approximately battery voltage, go to next step.
- Using DVOM, measure resistance of Orange/Light Blue wire between terminal No. 1 of servo harness connector and terminal No. 4 of instrument cluster 16-pin connector C-214. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If resistance is less than one ohm, go to next step. If resistance is one ohm or more, repair open in Orange/Light Blue wire.
- Turn ignition on. Connect a jumper wire between terminals No. 1 (Orange/Light Blue wire) and No. 10 (Pink/Orange wire) of servo harness connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If SPEED CONTROL indicator illuminates, replace cruise control servo and retest. If SPEED CONTROL indicator does not illuminate, repair instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT PANEL article.
