Pre-Arming Phase 3

1. Close all doors. Using keyless entry transmitter, lock all doors. If security light illuminates, go to ARMING PHASE 1. If security light does not illuminate, go to next step.
2. Check security light bulb. Replace bulb if faulty. If bulb is okay, go to next step.
3. Check wiring harness between CPU, security light bulb and 15-amp ROOM fuse. If fault is found, repair wiring as necessary. If wiring is okay, go to next step.
4. Check hood switch. See HOOD SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. If hood switch is faulty, replace switch and retest system. If hood switch is okay, go to next step.
5. Check wiring harness between CPU, hood switch and ground. If fault is found, repair wiring as necessary. On MX-6, if wiring is okay, go to next step. On 626, if wiring is okay, replace CPU and retest system.
6. On MX-6, check trunk key cylinder switch. See TRUNK KEY CYLINDER SWITCH (MX-6)  under COMPONENT TESTS. If trunk key cylinder switch is faulty, replace switch and retest system. If trunk key cylinder switch is okay, go to next step.
7. Check wiring harness between CPU and trunk key cylinder switch. If fault is found, repair wiring as necessary. If wiring is okay, replace CPU and retest system.

Using keyless entry transmitter, lock all doors. If security light illuminates, go to PRE-ARMING PHASE 4. If security light does not illuminate, replace CPU and retest system.
