Diagnostics Disabling Procedure

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait one minute for back-up power supply to be depleted. Remove steering column covers. Disconnect lower clockspring connector. See CLOCKSPRING under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove glove box. Disconnect passenger-side air bag module connector. See PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect right and left side air bag module connectors. See SIDE AIR BAG MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove right- and left side lower B-pillar trim panels and disconnect left and right front seat belt pretensioner connectors. See SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Access SAS control module and disconnect harness connectors. See SAS CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
