Rear Bumper Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the trunk end trim. (See TRUNK LID TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the trunk side trim. (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the rear combination lights. (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the fasteners.
  6. Pull the rear bumper guard outward, detach tabs A, and then remove the rear bumper guard.

  7. Remove in the order indicated in Fig 2 .

  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
