Valve Relay
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect ABS CM harness connector. ABS CM is located under right side of dash. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between ABS CM harness connector terminals "AB" and "E", "Y", "Z", "AG" and "BB". See Figure
. Voltage should be zero volts. Connect jumper wire between battery power and ABS CM harness connector terminal "B". Connect chassis ground to ABS CM harness connector terminal "AK". Measure voltage between chassis ground and ABS CM harness connector terminals "E", "Y", "Z", "AG" and "BB". See Figure
. Battery voltage should be present. If battery voltage is not present, check wiring harness. If wiring harness is okay, go to next step.
- Remove valve relay from hydraulic unit. See Figure
. Check continuity between valve relay terminals "B" and "C". See Fig 1
. Continuity should exist. Connect jumper wire between battery power and valve relay terminal "C". Connect chassis ground to valve relay terminal "B". Check for continuity between valve relay terminals "A" and "D". Continuity should exist. If continuity is not as specified, replace valve relay.
