Installation Note

NOTE: Axle tube bushing installation shown, axle housing bushing is a similar procedure.
  1. Position the bushing and the tube bushing installation or equivalent tools.
    1. Position the bushing.
    2. Position Gauge Ring ST 204-206  .
    3. Position Bushing Replacer Collet ST 205-372  .
    4. Position Bushing Remover/Replacer Cup ST 205-371  .
    5. Position Drawbolt ST 205-374  .
    6. Thread Bushing Replacer Adapter ST 205-370  on the Drawbolt SST.

  2. Tighten the Drawbolt ST 205-374  to install the bushing.
    1. Remove the tools.
  3. Install the front axle assembly. See FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  .
  4. Check the fluid level and fill the axle to specification.
    • Use axle lubricant meeting specification API Service GI-5
  5. Lower the vehicle.
