Rear Axle Speed Sensor Rotor (4WABS) Inspection

  1. Remove the speed sensor. See REAR AXLE SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  2. View the speed sensor rotor teeth through the rear axle speed sensor hole.
    3. NOTE: Dented or broken teeth could cause the anti-lock system to function when not required.
  3. Rotate the rear axle and check the ring teeth for damage or breakage.
