Variable Valve Timing (MIATA)

The Variable Valve Timing (VVT) system continuously varies the open/close timing of the intake valves under all driving conditions, city or highway, low or high speed. System consists of variable valve timing actuator and an Oil Control Valve (OCV). See Fig 1 . The OCV operates in conjunction with the PCM that monitors engine RPM, the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor and the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor.
