Detection Condition
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is set if difference between maximum and minimum input voltage from ECT is less than 10.1°F (5.6°C). Difference is measured after allowing vehicle to be off for at least 6 hours and starting vehicle and allowing it to idle for 5 minutes. This is a continuous monitor (CCM). MIL illuminates if PCM detects the malfunction condition during first drive cycle. Pending codes is available if PCM detects malfunction during first drive cycle. Freeze Frame Data is available and DTC will store in the PCM memory.
