Transaxle Range (Tr) Sensor: Removal

  1. Place the vehicle in neutral.
  2. Disconnect the battery cables.
  3. Remove the battery and tray.
  4. Disconnect the breather tube and mass air flow (MAF) / intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.

  5. Remove the intake tube and air cleaner cover.

  6. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    NOTE: It may be necessary to remove the thermostat housing to gain access to the transaxle range (TR) sensor.
  7. Remove the thermostat housing.

  8. Remove the transaxle range (TR) sensor.
    1. Disconnect the TR sensor electrical connector.
    2. Remove the bolts.
    3. Remove the TR sensor.
