Installation Note

NOTE:
  • Axle tube bushing installation shown, axle housing bushing is a similar procedure.
  1. Position the bushing and the tube bushing installation or equivalent tools.
    1. Position the bushing.
    2. Position Gauge Ring SST  204-206 (T96T-5638-D).
    3. Position Bushing Replacer Collet SST  205-372 (T96T-5638-F).
    4. Position Bushing Remover/Replacer Cup SST  205-371 (T96T-538-E).
    5. Position Drawbolt SST  205-374 (T96T-5638-H).
    6. Thread Bushing Replacer Adapter SST  205-370 (T96T-5638-B) on the Drawbolt SST.

  2. Tighten the Drawbolt SST  to install the bushing.
    1. Remove the tools.
  3. Install the front axle assembly. See AXLE ASSEMBLY FRONT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  .
  4. Check the fluid level and fill the axle to specification.
    • Use axle lubricant meeting specification API Service GI-5
  5. Lower the vehicle.
