Test H: Radio Is Noisy

NOTE: For circuit and connector identification, see WIRING DIAGRAMS and CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION

Start engine. Turn radio to station where interference is present. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect generator connector A-168. Start engine. Listen for interference. If interference is not detected, replace generator. See GENERATOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system for normal operation. If noise is detected, investigate audio symptom for possible component failure. Generator is not faulty.
