Installation Note:

  1. Position the armrest bracket. Install the two bolts.

  2. Install the armrest bracket shrouds.
  3. Install the seat armrest.

  4. Position the front seat cushion trim cover. Secure the hook and loop fastener.
  5. Position the front seat cushion trim cover. Secure the hook and loop fastener located behind the center child safety seat tether anchor.

  6. Install the center child safety seat tether anchor and the bolts.

  7. Install the bolt.

    Vehicles Without Safety Belt Buckle Pretensioners 

    WARNING:

  8. Install the 60 percent bench seat. See SEAT BACKREST FRONT - 60 PERCENT BENCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION 

    Vehicles With Safety Belt Buckle Pretensioners 

  9. Restore the vehicle to operating condition.
    WARNING:
    • To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes, and instructions in the seat removal and installation procedure.
    1. Install the 60 percent bench seat. See SEAT BACKREST FRONT - 60 PERCENT BENCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION 
      WARNING:
      • To avoid accidental deployment and possible personal injury, the backup power supply must be depleted before repairing or replacing any front or side air bag supplemental restraint system (SRS) components and before servicing, replacing, adjusting or striking components near the front or side air bag sensors, such as doors, instrument panel, console, door latches, strikers, seats and hood latches.

      To deplete the backup power supply energy, disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least one minute. Be sure to disconnect auxiliary batteries and power supplies (if equipped).

    2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
      WARNING:
      • To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes, and instructions in the supplemental restraint system (SRS) deactivation/reactivation procedure.
    3. Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS). See SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION AND ACTIVATION 
    4. Connect the negative battery cable.
    5. With all restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS). See AIR BAG SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS .

    All Vehicles 

  10. Check the active restraint system for correct operation. See AIR BAG SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS .
