Detection Condition
PCM monitors fuel tank pressure signal when monitoring conditions are met. If vacuum is more than -1.16 in. Hg (-3.92 kPa) for 10 seconds, PCM determines excessive vacuum.
Monitoring Conditions
- Engine coolant temperature at engine start is less than 95°F (35°C).
- Engine coolant temperature is 212°F (100°C) or less.
- Intake air temperature is more than 14°F (-10°C).
- Vehicle speed is 61.9 MPH or less.
This is a Continuous Monitor (CM). MIL illuminates if PCM detects malfunction condition in 2 consecutive drive cycles. Pending code is available if PCM detects malfunction condition during first drive cycle. Freeze Frame Data is available and DTC is stored in PCM memory.
