Removal and Installation

Remove the air bag sliding contact (clockspring). Refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS
Remove the multifunction switch. Refer to STEERING COLUMN MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH .
Remove the windshield wiper/washer switch. Refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER SWITCH .

Disconnect the gearshift cable.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Disconnect the wiring harness from the gear shifter assembly.
