SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART - MIRROR INOPERATIVE (SINGLE)

PINPOINT TEST 2		MIRROR IS INOPERATIVE (SINGLE)
STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	CHECK CIRCUIT Y/B FOR AN OPEN Key OFF. Disconnect the inoperative exterior rear view mirror connector 0912-302 (left) or 0912-303 (right). Disconnect the exterior rear view mirror switch connector 0912-301. Measure the resistance between exterior rear view mirror switch connector 0912-301 pin 6 circuit Y/B and left exterior rear view mirror connector 0912-302 pin 3 circuit Y/B; or between exterior rear view mirror switch connector 0912-301 pin 6 circuit Y/B and right exterior rear view mirror connector 0912-303 pin 3 circuit Y/B. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?	Yes	Go to step 2.
1		No	Repair Y/B wire. Test the system for normal operation.
2	CHECK THE POWER OUTSIDE MIRROR CONTROL Check the power outside mirror switch. See POWER OUTSIDE MIRROR SWITCH INSPECTION . Is the power outside mirror switch OK?	Yes	Replace the mirror motor in question. See OUTSIDE MIRROR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION . Test the system for normal operation.
2		No	Replace the power outside mirror switch. See POWER OUTSIDE MIRROR SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION . Test the system for normal operation.
