DTC P2229 (LF, L3) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC P2229 BARO sensor circuit high input
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • The PCM monitors input voltage from BARO sensor into the PCM. If input voltage is above 4.0 V (1) , 4.45 V (2)  , PCM determines that BARO sensor circuit has malfunction.

Diagnostic support note 
  • This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
  • The MIL illuminates if PCM detects the above malfunction condition during first drive cycle.
  • PENDING CODE is available if PCM detects the above malfunction condition.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
  • DTC is stored in PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • BARO sensor malfunction
  • PCM malfunction
