DTC P081D:62 (ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DESCRIPTION Mis-match signal between CAN and neutral switch
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • Neutral switch signal is detected as continuously ON in spite of vehicle speed increasing from 0 km {0 mph}  to 10 km/h {6.2 mph}  .
  • CAN and neutral switch signals do not correspond when the ignition switch is ON.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • Multiplex communication system DTC is stored
  • Neutral switch connector or terminals malfunction
  • Open circuit in the wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Neutral switch terminal B-Body ground
  • Neutral switch malfunction
  • Keyless control module connector or terminals malfunction
  • Short to ground in the wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Neutral switch terminal A-Keyless control module terminal 4X
  • Short to power supply in the wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Neutral switch terminal A-Keyless control module terminal 4X
  • Open circuit in the wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Neutral switch terminal A-Keyless control module terminal 4X
  • Keyless control module malfunction
