Shift-Lock System Inspection
- Switch the ignition to ON.
- Shift the selector lever to the P position.
- Perform the following procedures to inspect the shift-lock system.
- If there is any malfunction, inspect the shift-lock solenoid. (See SHIFT-LOCK SOLENOID INSPECTION .)
- Verify that the selector lever cannot be selected from P to R position when the brake pedal is released.
- Verify that the selector lever can be selected from P to R position when the brake pedal is depressed.
