Keyless Control Module Removal/Installation [Advanced Keyless Entry And Start System]
NOTE:
- If the keyless control module is replaced, always perform the following procedure.
- Keyless control module configuration (See KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION [ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND START SYSTEM] .)
- Advanced key programming (See CLEARING ADVANCED KEY [ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND START SYSTEM] .)
- Steering lock unit programming (See STEERING LOCK UNIT ID CODE REGISTRATION [ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND START SYSTEM] .)
- Immobilizer system resetting (with immobilizer system) (See IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM COMPONENT REPLACEMENT/KEY ADDITION AND CLEARING [ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND START SYSTEM] .)
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the dashboard under cover (Driver side). (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the auto light/wiper control module. (Vehicles with auto light/wiper system) (See AUTO LIGHT/WIPER CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the auto light-off control module. (Vehicles without auto light/wiper system) (See AUTO LIGHT-OFF CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
