Trunk Lid Release Actuator Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the recess. (See RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the trunk lid trim. (See TRUNK LID TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the trunk lid latch and release actuator. (See TRUNK LID LATCH AND RELEASE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to each terminal, and then verify the operation.

    • If not as indicated in the table, replace the trunk lid latch and release actuator.
