Diagnostic Procedure

DTC U0320:00 [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY 
  • Verify related Service Bulletins and/or on-line repair information availability.
  • Is any related repair information available?
Yes Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information.
  • If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
2 VERIFY DTC FOR MODULE COMMUNICATION 
Yes Go to the applicable PENDING CODE or DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] ).
No Go to the next step.
3 INSPECT EPS CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR CONDITION 
  • Switch the ignition to off.
  • Disconnect the EPS control module connector.
  • Inspect for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled-out pins, corrosion).
  • Is there any malfunction?
Yes Repair or replace the connector and/or terminals, then go to Step 6.
No Go to the next step.
4 INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR CONDITION 
  • Disconnect the PCM connector.
  • Inspect for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled-out pins, corrosion).
  • Is there any malfunction?
Yes Repair or replace the connector and/or terminals, then go to Step 6.
No Go to the next step.
5 CONFIRM EPS CONTROL MODULE DTC 
Yes DTC U0100, U0401 or U2023 is displayed:
  • CAN communication line can be considered the cause.
    • Repair or replace the wiring harness between PCM and EPS control module, then go to the next step.

DTC other than U0100, U0401 and U2023 is displayed:
No EPS control module can be considered the cause.
  • Replace the EPS control module, then go to the next step.
6 VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED 
Yes Repeat the inspection from Step 1.

Go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
7 VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE 
Yes Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
(See DTC TABLE [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] ).
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
