DTC U0336:00 [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY Verify related Service Bulletins and/or on-line repair information availability. Is any related repair information available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information. If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY DTC FOR MODULE COMMUNICATION Switch the ignition to off, then to ON (engine off). Perform the DTC Reading Procedure. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] ). Are any other PENDING CODEs and/or DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable PENDING CODE or DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] ).
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	INSPECT SAS CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR CONDITION Switch the ignition to off. Disconnect the SAS control module connector. Inspect for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled-out pins, corrosion). Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Repair or replace the connector and/or terminals, then go to Step 6.
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR CONDITION Disconnect the PCM connector. Inspect for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled-out pins, corrosion). Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Repair or replace the connector and/or terminals, then go to Step 6.
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	CONFIRM SAS CONTROL MODULE DTC Perform the SAS control module DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] ). (See DTC INSPECTION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] ). Are any DTCs present?	Yes	DTC U0300:00 is displayed: CAN communication line can be considered the cause. Repair or replace the wiring harness between PCM and SAS control module, then go to the next step. DTC other than U0300:00 is displayed: Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] ). (See DTC TABLE [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] ).
5		No	SAS control module can be considered the cause. Replace the SAS control module, then go to the next step. (See SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] ). (See SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] ).
6	VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors. Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS. (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] ). Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See KOEO/KOER SELF TEST [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] ). Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the PCM. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] ). Go to the next step.
6		No	Go to the next step.
7	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE Perform the "AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE". (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] ). Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] ).
7		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
