Front Seat Back Trim Removal/Installation: Driver-side

Switch the ignition off.
Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min. or more . (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
Remove the head restraint.
Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove fasteners and set the front seat cushion trim aside, (with power seat system)

Slide hook in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3) shown in the figure and set the front seat cushion trim aside. (without power seat system)
Disconnect the side air bag module connector.

Set hooks aside in the direction of the arrow (4) shown in the figure.
Remove clip in the direction of the arrow (5) shown in the figure and remove the lumbar support lever in the direction of the arrow (6). (with manual lumbar support)

Slide hook A in the order of arrows (7), (8), (9) shown in the figure and disconnect them from hook B.

Open fasteners.
Leather type

Cloth type

Partially peel back the front seat back trim and remove the hook from the seat back frame.

Partially peel back the front seat back trim, and while pressing the tabs in the direction of arrows (10) shown in the figure, remove the pole guides in the direction of arrow (11).

Remove the nut and washer.

Pull the side air bag module securing belt in the direction of arrows (12) and (13) and remove it from the front seat back frame stud bolt.

Pull out the front seat back pad and front seat back trim towards the front of the front seat.

Lift up the front seat back trim and front seat back pad in the direction of the arrow (14) as a single unit and remove it from the front seat back frame.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
