Sunroof Unit Removal/Installation

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Sunroof seaming welt (See SUNROOF UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Sunvisor (See SUNVISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front map light (See MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Assist handle (See ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- B-pillar lower trim (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Cover on the front seat belt adjuster (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Upper anchor installation bolt on the seat belt (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- B-pillar upper trim (See B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear side seat back (See REAR SIDE SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

- Disconnect the front drain hose and rear drain hose from the sunroof frame in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.
- Remove nuts A shown in the figure.
- Remove bolts B shown in the figure.
- Remove nuts C shown in the figure.CAUTION:
- Removing nuts C without supporting it could cause the sunroof unit to fall and cause serious injury. Always perform the procedure with at least another person to prevent the sunroof unit from falling.
- Remove the sunroof unit.
- Take the sunroof unit off from the front driver-side door or front passenger-side door opening.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
