Steering Switch Removal/Installation

  1. Switch the ignition OFF (LOCK).
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more.
  3. Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
  4. Remove the steering wheel. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the screws.

  6. Remove the wiring harness from the hook.

  7. Remove the steering cover tabs and pins from the steering wheel.

  8. Remove the steering cover.

  9. Remove the screws.

  10. Disconnect the connector. (with Bluetooth system)
  11. Remove the screws. (With Bluetooth system)

  12. Remove the steering switch pins from the steering wheel.

  13. Remove the steering switch component.
  14. Remove the screw.

  15. Remove the steering panel.
  16. Remove the steering switch. (With Bluetooth system)
  17. Install in the reverse order of removal.
