Key Interlock System Inspection
- Switch the ignition ON.
- Inspect the key interlock system as follows:
- If there is any malfunction, inspect the key interlock solenoid and NOT P position switch. (See KEY INTERLOCK SOLENOID INSPECTION .) (See NOT P POSITION SWITCH INSPECTION .)
- Verify that the ignition cannot be switched OFF when the selector lever is in a position other than P.
- Verify that the ignition can be switched OFF when the selector lever is in the P position.
