Using A Speedometer Tester
- Adjust the tire pressure to the specification.
- Using a speedometer tester, verify that the tester reading is as indicated in the following table.

- Verify that the speedometer reading is within the range indicated in the table.
- If the speedometer does not operate or the indication is not within the allowable range, inspect the following:
- PCM
- TCM (ATX vehicles)
- ABS HU/CM (With ABS)
- DSC HU/CM (With DSC)
- Related wiring harness
- If the PCM, TCM (vehicles with ATX), ABS HU/CM (vehicles with ABS) or DSC HU/CM (vehicles with DSC), and related wiring harnesses are normal, replace the instrument cluster.
