DTC P0708:00: Notes

DTC P0708:00 TR switch circuit high input
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • Under the following conditions, TR switch voltage is 4.78 V or more for 5 s
    • Vehicle speed is 8 km/h {5 mph} or more
    • Battery positive voltage is 9 V or more

    Diagnostic support note 

  • The check engine light illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
  • The automatic transaxle warning light illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
  • PENDING CODE is available.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
  • The DTC is stored in the TCM memory.
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION 
  • Inhibits 1GR, 4GR and 5GR
  • Inhibits feedback control
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • TR switch connector or terminal malfunction
  • Short to power supply in wiring harness between TR switch terminal C and TCM terminal U
  • TR switch malfunction
  • TCM connector or terminal malfunction
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between TR switch terminal C and TCM terminal U
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between TR switch terminal B and TCM terminal V
  • TCM malfunction
